Tawnya Etzel

Vice President, Partner, Administration

Etzel joined the United Commercial Realty - San Antonio (UCR-SA) family in 1995 as an administrative vice president, in which she oversees human resources, accounting and operations at UCR. In 2000, Tom Sineni, co-founder and president of UCR-SA, invited Etzel, as a key employee, to become a principal. Additionally, Etzel works hand-in-hand with the development team on the acquisition of land, due diligence, site selection, reporting and lease processing.

Etzel's vast knowledge stems from experience in the human resources department with Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Dallas, and implementing marketing strategies with Republic Insurance in Maryland.

Etzel has been a member of the Real Estate Council of San Antonio since 1995 and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) since 1996. She is a member of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and is an alumnus of the Leadership Lab class of 2001. Etzel has two daughters and enjoys biking, swimming and reading.

In 1988 Etzel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance at the University of Texas in Austin.
