With a strong sales background, Karla Smith has a desire to see each of her clients not only happy but also successful in their projects. Karla’s experience, communication and follow-through add value to every transaction, and her client focus is evident in her strong relationships with them

She has coordinated site selection for both regional and national accounts including Target, Life Time Fitness, Blockbuster, Sprouts Farmers Market, Fuddruckers, Pet Supplies Plus and Pacific Dental Services. Her Landlord clients include Forest City, Rubloff Development, Hunt Properties, Direct Development, Armstrong Development and United Commercial Development.

In 2005 and 2008, Karla was named a Heavy Hitter by the Dallas Business Journal. In 2008, she was named a “Power Broker” by Real Estate Forum. And in 2009, Karla was voted in D CEO as one of the “best commercial real estate brokers in Dallas.” She also received the UCR 2008 Top Ten Award for being a top producer.

Before joining UCR, Karla worked for 11 years with Southwestern Bell where she handled yellow page sales and was honored with the Regional Top Achievement - Circle of Excellence award in 1995, 1998 and 2002. She was in the top 5 percent of her sales management team and managed 60 sales reps for both the inside and outside sales divisions. Karla received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Dallas

Karla served as the 2008 Food Drive Coordinator for the North Dallas Food Bank and is currently the Community Service Coordinator for Dallas Christian School. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being involved in the community, volunteering at her children’s schools, outdoor activities and sports.
