Mike Gribble

R. Michael “Mike” Gribble is senior vice president of United Commercial Realty (UCR) San Antonio and principal of the Development Services Division. Gribble co-founded UCR in 1993 to offer full service commercial real estate and brokerage services. As principal, Gribble works closely with investors to form partnerships, assemble investment packages, and arrange financing. Gribble also assists users and owners with site location, lease and long term financing negotiations, as well as obtaining permits for construction.

Gribble is a Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS) with the International Council of Shopping Centers. He specializes in multi-task situations by coordinating the efforts to bring together property owners, tenants, engineers, architects, investors, lenders and attorneys to structure real estate transactions and developments.

Gribble’s career began in 1975 when he joined the Henry S. Miller Company (now Grubb & Ellis) in San Antonio, Texas as an associate in the Retail Division. He was promoted to manager of that division after six months, and within two years he was appointed vice president and resident manager of the San Antonio office. In 1982, Gribble formed a partnership with Richard L. Wade (Wade-Gribble Commercial Real Estate) primarily to develop and purchase retail shopping centers and commercial office buildings. In 1992, he returned to Grubb & Ellis as director of development services and director of asset services.

Gribble has been an integral part of many significant projects in San Antonio, Texas, including the Forum at Olympia Parkway, Sterling Bank Tower and The Pavilions at North Star, and the acquisition of Gateway Shopping Center and Colonies North Shopping Center. Gribble has also managed developments in Pennsylvania and New York.

When Gribble is not managing UCR projects; he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, gardening and cooking. He is also active in the Real Estate Council of San Antonio.

In 1973, Gribble received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in real estate and finance. He completed studies for a Master’s of Business Administration degree in 1974.
