Charles Hoyer

Vice President, Partner, Office & Industrial

Charles Hoyer was recruited by United Commercial Realty’s (UCR) San Antonio office in May 1998 and joined the company as a vice president. In 2000, he was invited to become a principal to ensure the company’s continued growth and success. Hoyer participates in the decision-making processes of the organization regarding operations and the company’s future direction. Hoyer also is very involved in the sales and leasing of industrial property and land, both for industrial use and investment purposes.

Hoyer began his career with Continental Airlines before going to work for Grubb & Ellis, in which he was promoted to vice president. In his 14 years at Grubb & Ellis, Hoyer gained vast knowledge and experience in industrial property sales and leasing, and was the eight-time recipient of the “Top 5 Producer Award.”

During his tenure with UCR, Hoyer has had the opportunity to work on an array of projects, including H.E.B., Uniroyal, Federal Express, Miller Brewing Company, Shell Oil Company and Clear Channel Communications. He has also worked with the City Public Service board and San Antonio Water System (formerly City Water Board). In 2004, Hoyer received the “1st Place Top Producer Award” at UCR.

Hoyer donates his time in various community organizations as a member of the Coastal Conservation Association, Texas Wildlife Association and the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. Hoyer also is a member of the Real Estate Council of San Antonio and since 1999 has served on its Green Team, which is a committee that encourages school children to learn about and protect the environment. Hoyer has two grandsons and enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.
