Craig Garansuay rejoined United Commercial Realty (UCR) San Antonio team in 2004 where he was previously employed as a sales associate from May 2000 to July 2002. In the fall of 2007 Garansuay was unanimously voted in by the Board of Directors as a Partner. In his current position, Garansuay assists national, regional, and local retailers with market evaluations, conditions, and trends as well as implementing appropriate execution strategies. Through his extensive network of relationships with investors, landlords and retailers, Garansuay has proven successful in securing the best possible locations for his clients by developing a strategy tailored to meet their objectives whether it’s opening one store or expanding into several markets.

Currently, Garansuay is responsible for facilitating the marketing campaign of more than 4 million square-feet in the San Antonio and surrounding areas which includes the research and planning for potential tenant penetrations of national and local retailers. Garansuay oversees the leasing transactions for projects including the 1.2 million square foot Forum at Olympia Parkway, the 900,000 square foot Alamo Ranch, as well as, the 1 million square foot Park North and he ensures that his portfolio is a thought provoking consideration to any part of retail expansion programs.

Garansuay has specialized in retail in the Central and South Texas Markets throughout his career serving many of the nation’s top retailers including: AT&T Mobility (formerly Cingular Wireless), McDONALD’S USA, LLC (Rio Grande Valley), Freddy’s Frozen Custard – San Antonio & Austin markets, Planet Fitness – San Antonio, Electronics Boutique, Verizon Wireless, Smoothie King, Holiday Inn Express, Blimpies, Panda Management, Interstate Batteries, Charming Shoppes, Spencer Gifts, Just for Feet, Walgreen’s, and Fatburger North America to name a few.

In addition to his contributions to UCR, Garansuay was recognized by the San Antonio Business Journal in its 2008 issue of the 40 Under 40 Rising Stars. Garansuay was awarded UCR’s Top Producer award for 2008. Garansuay is also a member of the San Antonio Board of Realtors and the International Council of Shopping Centers. During his time away from the office Garansuay enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Lauren.
