This asset represents a perfect example of how the UCR platform has worked to help a shopping center owner determine the most prudent manner in which to sell a highly desirable real estate asset. UCR Investment Sales and UCR Realty collaborated with Cooper & Stebbins to help them identify the most suitable buyer for the asset. As a result, UCR Investment Sales successfully arranged the sale of Southlake Town Square, one of the premier mixed-use/lifestyle centers in the country, to Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust.
In 2004, the first phase sold for $143,000,000. Over the next several years, the owner developed additional phases with the most recent phase completed in 2009. In aggregate, Southlake Town Square has been developed in four phases and was sold based on a cumulative sales price in excess of $271,000,000 representing 840,677 square feet of retail.
